What to Expect From Your Session
Before Your Session
You have been wonderfully created with both a physical body and a spirit body. Your spirit body can be thought of as your divine blueprint: the exact model of how your physical body and mind want to show up in the world. Sometimes that blueprint becomes blurry and hard to read, which leads to the challenges you might be facing. What's exciting is that we can remind the physical body and mind of how to read that blueprint, and reestablish perfect communication!
To do that, you need to know that only you can heal yourself. I can't heal you, but I can help facilitate communication between your conscious and subconscious minds, so that your life force energy can flow freely, putting you back on the path to healing and wholeness. The best way to do this is to invest in yourself. You're already doing that by showing up for your session. "Showing up" is the key: what things allow you to show up for yourself in this one hour? That might mean finding a quiet spot that eliminates distractions. It could be laying down on the couch or sitting in your comfy chair. It might be arriving five minutes early to set an intention for your session and take some deep breaths in order to center yourself. Ask yourself what you would advise your best friend to do to take care of themselves. That’s likely the advice you need, as well.
Make sure to have a glass of water before your session, as dehydration can skew the results of our testing. Please put aside the distractions of phone and email. Allow yourself this time to simply be, to receive, to rest.
During Your Session
During a session, my spirit will connect with yours through the Holy Spirit, who guides us in truth. Using muscle testing, we are able to ask your subconscious exactly what it wants you to know and how it desires to help you.
Your session is your time to get to know yourself! You are 100% in charge. You are being offered unprecedented access to your subconscious mind, meaning you can ask all the questions you want, find answers, acknowledge and validate, and choose to release.
To that end, you are welcome to ask as many or as few questions as you want. For example, you may want to know at what age something happened, if certain people were involved, if one thing is related to another, etc. If there is a question you want to answer, but aren’t able to say it out loud for any reason, it’s perfectly fine to ask, “Is it the thing/person that I’m thinking of?” Because we’re communicating with your subconscious mind, which knows what your conscious mind is thinking, we can still find the answer. There is no need to verbalize something that might be too painful or triggering.
You are also free to say as much or as little during your session as you want. Some people are happy to bring the thing to the conscious mind and release it, without needing to know details or think too much about it. Others find it helpful to talk it through and articulate for themselves why they’re happy to see it go. While I’m not a trained psychotherapist or counselor, I am happy to hold space for whatever you decide is best for you.
Rest assured, I'm not a mind reader! What is specific to you is general to me, meaning that you might know exactly what event or person your spirit is bringing to mind, but I don't. Your private thoughts are just that, private to you.
Practicing deep breathing throughout your session is a great idea. Often, I personally feel physical pressure, discomfort, or heat on behalf of the client, and I will feel a need to breathe deeply. Please join me in doing this! When that happens, there is an energy that requires extra attention and intention to release and/or balance. Deep breathing is often the key!
When I release emotions and clear energy distortions, I simply swipe my hand over my governing meridian on your behalf. You are welcome to do the same, as a physical sign that you are ready to cast off the burden. The governing meridian is an energy reservoir that starts at the top of your lip and goes up over the centerline of your head and down your spine to your tailbone. Swiping the magnetic field of your hand over any part of that is all that is often needed to release energies.
For every energy distortion we find, I will always ask if there are any related imbalances, and once those are all found, I will ask if there is anything that you need to do to fully release them. Most often, the subconscious mind is happy to simply release and rebalance these energies, and all that’s needed is intention and swiping the governing meridian. Sometimes there is something physical that might need to be done. When that happens, I will inquire if any of the energy healing modalities I use will be helpful and/or necessary. Keep in mind that if your subconscious has any reservations about any of these modalities, they are highly unlikely to be recommended by that same subconscious! I’m also happy to answer any questions you might have about any of them.
Just as your spirit will reveal to you what it wants you to know, it will also let you know when it’s time to stop. Peeling back too many layers at once (or digging up the wrong layers at the wrong time) is forceful and a hindrance to healing. Your spirit is your guide, and we will respect what it has to say! When it has finished revealing and releasing, we will ask once more if there is anything extra that would be helpful to your healing journey. Then we will disconnect from each other, each of us to go live in light and love.
After Your Session
The goal of this work is for you to feel grounded, safe, healthy, and whole in body, mind, spirit, and soul. What that looks like varies, from person to person, and session to session! With every session, my goal is for you to come away feeling better in some way: validated, lighter, relaxed, more hopeful.
The releasing of old emotions feels different for every person, and for each emotion released. Sometimes, you might not notice any physical sensations right away (or at all). Sometimes I can physically feel the chains that have been wrapped around me break away and fall off. Many clients have had encounters with God during their session. While sensations are interesting, they’re not the thing we’re going after. Don’t try to force or deny a sensation; simply acknowledge and accept what your spirit is leading you to.
Physical sensations can be very positive (like getting a hug from God or feeling chains break away), but they can also be overwhelming at times. Some releases might bring crying and emotional ups and downs, or feeling fatigued. These are very normal and healthy ways for your body to process the release of the burden that was weighing you down, and shouldn’t last very long. Crying is one of the best forms of physical release, and sleep is the best medicine. So long as they last an appropriate amount of time, simply allow your physical body to do what it needs to release and integrate.
Occasionally, an emotional release might lead to asking questions. What did that thing mean? What am I supposed to do with it? That’s a good opportunity to lean into the Spirit to ask what He is trying to teach you and/or lead you to.
There is no specific timeline for healing to occur. In general, acute issues often dissolve more quickly, and chronic issues over time. But in all cases, our goal is for you to see improvement in some way with each visit. Remember that healing isn’t linear, and often the healing needed is different than we might think. But your spirit always knows exactly what you need.
